The Employer Council is a panel of HR professionals with a combined 50+ years of experience that advise BerniePortal on issues facing HR Parties of One. They contribute their knowledge and expertise to help us guide small to midsize employers to improve the roles of HR professionals nationwide.
Patti Bradley is an Oregon native currently based in Boring, OR. She attended Mt. Hood Community College and studied early childhood education, which gives her an out-of-the-box approach to her role as a Controller/Administrator for Coast Pavement Services. As well as being SHRM-certified, Patti uses her experiences in property management, OR OSHA, construction, thermoforming, manufacturing, and resort management to analyze operations and implement efficiencies. However, her forte is to make her organization more fun. In her free time, Patti has her own fun trying new foods and experimenting in the kitchen to recreate meals.
Lauren Copeland is an HR professional with 10+ years of industry experience. Her diverse background in sales, commercial finance, government contracting, and transportation has helped her successfully support and manage workforces of 350+ employees in multiple states. Currently serving as the Director of Human Resources at Navarre Corporation in Nashville, TN, Lauren has been instrumental in driving significant cost savings and improving operational efficiency. She holds certifications such as SHRM-CP, California SHRM Certified Professional Certificate, and a Certified Schedules Contracts Manager through Centre Law Group. When not developing herself professionally, Lauren enjoys developing her art and painting skills.
Diana Elliott discovered her talent for HR when her position as an Executive Assistant at Wegmans introduced her to various HR roles. Diana has held Recruitment, HR Generalist and HR Business Partner roles before bringing her experience to work as the HR Manager for CCMA, LLC., in Amherst, NY, for the past five years. A Buffalo-area native, she uses her bachelor's in psychology from the University at Buffalo and SHRM-CP certification to do it all for her organization as an HR Party of One. In her free time, Diana enjoys cruising to the lake in her pink Jeep alongside her children.
